Such a beautiful journal. I love the Tree of Life on the front and the wrap around strap. The leather is soft yet sturdy. The pages are unlined and are a nice thick quality paper. I ordered this for my daughter. She has always been an avid writer so I truly hope she will love this book. The craftmanship is excellent. 5 Stars! Hope you find this review and pictures helpful. The book leather is distressed but that just gives it character. Super nice! So soft! LOVE! I’m sure she will love it too!

This is a beautiful, well-made journal and one that I would recommend. HOWEVER, the glue they use to attach the tree on the cover has a very strong, awful odor to it. I had to leave the unwrapped journal outside for close to a month before the glue had off-gassed enough to bring it inside my home. Someone wrote that it’s the natural smell of leather, but it is not. After two weeks of leaving the journal outside to off gas, I was finally able to smell the natural leather smell, which is lovely, but only of the back cover. The front cover still had the awful smell, and is how I figured out that it must have been the glue that caused the awful smell. OTHERWISE, it’s a beautiful, really well-made journal in every way. Now that it has off-gassed and I have it inside and am using it, I am glad I bought it.
